Oxford Jericho Wharf sold to Oxford University college

Oxford Mail July 29, 2026 writer Matt Simpson

A derelict Oxford wharf has been sold to an Oxford University college with promise to finally develop the site. Worcester College has completed the purchase of Jericho Wharf from Hong Kong-based Cheer Team for an undisclosed price.

The 18th century wharf has essentially been left abandoned since the early 1990s with various plans to redevelop it never coming to fruition.
Jericho Wharf's sale was confirmed late on Tuesday afternoon by the Walton Street-based college.
